Meet Our Pharmacist

 

 

Fayaz Ahmedali

 

Fayaz Ahmedali is a pharmacist at Cooks Pharmacy in Wellesley, Ontario. He received his Master of Pharmacy degree from the University of Brighton, United Kingdom in 2001. He completed his internship with Lloyds the Chemists before becoming a pharmacy manager with Boots the Chemists in 2002.

 

In 2004 he accepted a position to run Shelley Community pharmacy, which was a physician-owned pharmacy, fully integrated with the medical practice. In 2007 he relocated to Canada after being recruited by Shoppers Drug Mart where he worked as a staff pharmacist for 4 years until accepting a position with Cooks Pharmacy in 2011.

 

Fayaz Ahmedali is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and has a certificate from the University of Waterloo for the Management of Anticoagulant Therapies (MOAT) which enables him to run INR clinics to manage warfarin therapy under a medical directive from the doctor.

 

When he is not working, he can be found scuba diving the shipwrecks in Tobermory or playing tennis and swimming with his family.
